Just let me note:
I do get the impression most pages in English about learning German
- love to tell you ABOUT German in English, instead of teaching it ...
- do love to tell you about ALL the difficulties, before teaching even
"Mein Name ist Miller" ...
- and how so very important all those rules are ... Well, they are NOT!
Trust me: Their is NO other relevant "foreign" language for English-Speakers
as EASY to learn and use as German.
- and no one ever tells you how easy you can get along in Germany, NOT knowing German:
All the tourist-stuff like buying tickets or checking in at the hotel:
Where would you expect English-speaking staff and web-pages in English if not there?!
And shopping? How much English do YOU use or need at Wal-mart or Sainsbury's ?!
Hey you can even study in Germany and earn yourself an MBA or Ph.D. not knowing German! And even almost for free: Check www.daad.de (available also in English, of course!)
