Deutsch lernen im Internet - German for Beginners

TestDaF, das Examen um an deutschen Unis zu studieren. Natürlich nicht leicht. TestDaF 3 ist schwer wie B1(reicht vielleicht für Mathe/IT/Physik Studium), TestDaF4 ist schwer wie B2 - soll für ALLE Kurse reichen, aber manche Fakultäten wollen TestDaF 5, C1-C2. Zum Beispiel die (Zahn-)Mediziner, weil die viel zu viele Bewerber haben. Oder die Juristen, Übersetzter und Philosophen - denn da schaffen Sie das Studium nur, wenn Ihr Deutsch perfekt ist! Es gibt mehrere gute Bücher für TestDaF. Das beste ist von einem sehr kleinen Verlag: ISBN-13: 978-3930861606 Labouda-Verlag, Autor: Klaus Lodewick, 20 Euro. Der macht auch viele andere sehr gute DaF-Bücher! Manchmal mit sehr seltsamen Namen: "Barthel" ...  ;) Ohne bunte Bilder, ohne DVD, aber richtig gut. Den Mann würde ich gern mal kennenlernen. Respekt!

Hello again! Just read one of my old long posts from 2009. Still better than the new ones ;) BUT: Things are changing. A lot of new books arrived , one publisher was bought by another (Langenscheidt has only itself to blame, too many BAD books like "genial" and "optimal"), and I found a small publisher with the best TestDaF training book, I have ever seen. New books: "Aussichten" by Klett is a nice one, for adults only (many topics about job and family), not for students. AND it comes with CD, DVD, DVD-ROM all included! COOL! "Netzwerk" by Langenscheidt also has a DVD with video included. Seems to be the new standard, I like that ;). The video is about a young lady (19) doing an internship. "Menschen" by Hueber also comes with a lot of Discs, I like the book, I do not like the nonsense praise they are writing about it "newest scientific research about language learning" and then they bring old pattern-drill-exercises ...

As I wrote before: Most "german courses" on youtube are disappointing. Today I found one, I own myself on DVD (or did, I lost the first). It is a professional fun video-serial with sub-titles in German, looks like a "sit-com" but is a German course to practice what you learned, till you reached A1 and A2 level. The Economist has just published an excellent review of online language courses. http://www.economist.com/blogs/johnson/2013/06/language-learning-software It also has  a link to a review of the new rosetta stone. I consider rosetta too expensive - have heard it can be found on tpb, too. Maybe the new version is good enough, the elder ones were rather too simple to pay for it. Duolingo I never tried, but as it is free, it is worth a look. Babbel I recommended years ago - I still consider the free COMMUNITY the best feature about it: Ask others to correct your texts/homework/letters - ask what ever you did not understand about grammar etc. - there are lots of kind people out there eager to play teacher, and till you reached advanced level yourself, even an un-professional help is helpful. (I have also seen many "real" teachers not competent in explaining grammar. Believe me: They do not learn it in the German university! And abroad they learn a lot of "gramm...

Man kann die Texte lesen UND auch HÖREN. "Schwierige" Dinge werden extra erklärt. Sehr schön für A2 und B1 ! Long time ago, I recommended www.babbel.com as an excellent free website, well, the online exercises were (and still are) not so excellent, but there was and is a friendly community of "teachers": People who will correct your texts and answer your questions. FOR FREE. A while ago, babbel started to restrict most material to those who pay. Not expensive, but I recommend: Get a good book. Or the Themen CD-ROM. Or the other online-stuff I mentioned here: bbc dw goethe STILL THE friendly people are there at babbel and provide help for free. Sometimes me. Seems some people like to play teacher ;) BUSUU has similar courses, as good and as bad as babbel. And for most you need to pay. But some are free, AND it is even easier and faster to get your work (texts, even audio) corrected for free. I did not find this functions as first, as I did not really do any exercises. First: Downloading copyrighted material is immoral. If you like material you should buy it. Really. Second: Downloading copyrighted material from piratebay and otheres IS ILLEGAL! If you do it in Germany you could be prosecuted and would be fined HEAVILY. A lot of lawyers and firms are ACTIVELY hunting downloaders! Ich schrieb lange nichts, denn es gab nicht so viel Neues im E-learning. ABER JETZT EINE REVOLUTION - oder zumindest ein "Paradigmenwechsel": 7 Jahre gab es nur EIN wirklich gutes und sehr billiges Programm: die CD-ROM zu Themen aktuell 1. Und die Firma Hueber wollte auf keinen Fall so etwas für Themen 2 machen (ich hatte sie gefragt!)- wer wird die Bücher kaufen, wenn die CD-ROM alles hat UND problemlos kopierbar ist ... . ABER JETZT machen Huber und die anderen Verlage für Ihre wichtigsten Lehrbücher "Interaktive Kursbücher" - das machen sie für die vielen Schulen, die jetzt mit "interaktiven whiteboards" arbeiten. Aber das funktioniert auch SUPER auf dem privaten PC!!! Diese Kursbücher sind methodisch VIEL BESSER als praktisch alles, was als "Software zum Sprachenlernen" programmiert wird! Wann gibt es endlich GUTE youtube-Deutschkurse?! Diesen Kurs fand eine Studentin gut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=ouw-ZDxltq4 Es gibt viele Folgen (über 40!) zu Grammatik - mit pdf-Datei zum Lesen. Alles richtig, meist sehr langweilig präsentiert. Aber für Wiederholung, für Hörverstehen und Lerner ohne Lehrer nicht schlecht. Die meisten anderen youtube-"Deutschkurse" sind ein schlechter Witz (a bad joke). Ich empfehle nur: Musik (mit Text with Lyrics )und Uwe Kind (Klicken Sie auf den Titel: Deutsch bei youtube ... das ist der Link zu einem der Videos mit Herrn Ziesche).
